Šentjernej, Slovenia
Children's folklore group (OFS) Šentjernej has been performing in the current setting for four years, but they were first active as a part of the Children's folk- merry-making games circle. Due to a large interest for this activity, OFS was formed. It consists of children, aged from 10 to 13. The folklorists are connected through their joy to re-create children's folk-heritage, primarily the folk-song. In these four years, they have prepared a number of stage performances and introduced themselves at local, regional and, thrice, the national OFS gathering Ringaraja. Last spring, they were invited to Ljubljana where they introduced themselves as the only children's folklore group in Slovenia at the review »Pa ta viža ni preč« (But that tune is not aloof). They perform at events within and beyond the school and connect with local associations and individuals that preserve the love for folk tradition.

Podblica, Slovenia
»Murnovi godci« (»The Murn Fiddlers«) are an occasional/project group consisting of around 10 fiddlers that come from Podblica and some neighboring villages. The fiddlers in the group are mainly multi-instrumentalists, descendants of older fiddlers, and had all been performing or still perform at wedding celebrations. The group was founded in autumn of 2012 with the goal of both continuing as well as re-creating the local fiddler's tradition of their home region, the Selška valley in Upper Carniola. They introduce themselves in various ensembles of mostly old restored instruments (different accordions, clarinets, flugelhorn, baritone horn, tuba, contrabass, violin, cither, harmonica, guitar, ... ).
Program:
1.) Micica mazurka
2.) Ceprle
3.) Pom pom polka
Volk folk,
Ilirska Bistrica, Slovenia
The group »Volk folk« from Ilirska Bistrica continues a family tradition of fiddling and singing from their part of Slovenia, especially Velika Bukovica village, whence their lineage descends. Geographically, this is the junction of Inner Carniola and Littoral, and, musically, a meeting and an intertwinement of Mediterranean and Alpine influences. The manner of their musical performance ranges from faithfully following the tradition, to more free arrangements with authorial (or authentic) touches. Nina plays the »oprekelj« (a cyther-like instrument) as well as a 'Trieste' diatonic accordion (»plonarca«), Gregor the violin (»škant«), and Romeo the contrabass (bass). The three also sing.
Program:
1)Valcer in polka
2)Ena ptička priletela
3)Vrbiška polka
