Mendardno zborovsko tekmovanje Maribor je član European Grand Prix for Choral Singing Association ter CFN (Choral Festival Netvork)
Zveza tekmovanj za zborovsko veliko nagrado Evrope je bila ustanovljena leta 1988 na pobudo tekmovanj Concorso Polifonico Guido d’Arezzo – Arezzo, Italija, Bela Bartok International Choral Competition Debrecen, Madžarska, C. A. Seghizzi Gorica, Italija, Florilege Vocal de Tours, Francija. Tekmovanje G. Dimitrov May Choir Competition, Varna, Bolgarija se je pridružilo leta 1989, Certamen Coral de Tolosa, Baskija, Španija pa še leto pozneje. Leta 2008 je bilo v zvezo sprejeto tekmovanje v Mariboru, tekmovanje v Gorici pa ni več član zveze. Vsakič se zmagovalci ene sezone vseh teh tekmovanj udeležijo finala zmagovalcev za veliko nagrado Evrope, ki je organizirano leto dni pozneje. Naš letošnji zmagovalec se bo tako udeležil finala, ki bo prihodnje leto prvič v Mariboru, ko bo mesto evropska prestolnica kulture. Created in 1988 on the iniciative of competitions Concorso Polifonico Guido d’Arezzo – Arezzo, Italy, Bela Bartok International Choral Competition Debrecen, Hungary, C. A. Seghizzi Gorizia, Italy, Florilege Vocal de Tours, France. In the following two years competitions G. Dimitrov May Choir Competition in Varna, Bulgaria and Certamen Coral de Tolosa, Basque Country, Spain, joined the Association. In 2008 Maribor was acceped as the new member and the competition Gorizia is no longer taking part in the Association.Each year the winners of 6 competitions from the previous year compete at the finals for the EGP Award. The winner of Maribor 2011 will participate at the finals 2012 held in Maribor again – in that year the city will become the European City of Culture. |
