Sandra Man

Sandra Man

Sandra Man (they/them) is an artist working with live performance, video and text. For the past six years they have been working mainly outdoors, on a new relationship between body and landscape. Sandra collaborates with dancers and performers, they move and speak in/with the environment. In Sandra's choreographed live performances they focus on encounters: Between the Earth and the moving/speaking body, between performers and audience, the landscape becomes a common ground that connects participants and attenders. In Sandra's videos they show dancers interacting with remote hybrid techno-natural landscapes. In Sandra's texts, spoken live or in videos, sometimes projected or printed, they offer a sensitive description of the world, the words literally touch what surround us. Sandra’s work is strongly multi-disciplinary. In all the media used they aim to re-connect inside and outside, investigating our contemporary geo-existence as (human) bodies on Earth.
