PROGRAM OF WORKSHOPS AND MENTORS
LET'S MOVE IN THE SCENE (Physical Theatre)
mentor: Sebastjan Starič (Slovenia)
In the workshop, we work on the skills and movment from physical theatre. The workshop will will focus on physical training, group improvisations and the creation of group non-verbal theater scenes. We will explore the body and its role in different genres and situations. We will translate the experience into a concrete example - a scene that will be based solely on the physical relations between the actors.
At the workshop, we will get to know the basic methods and tricks of physical confrontation. We will learn how to hit and fall in a completely safe way, but which will still preserve the illusion of reality as much as possible.
Movement workshops are a wonderful opportunity to connect and establish a healthy relationship with your body. At the same time, contact with others is key here, where participants learn about finding a common center of gravity and collective responsibility towards co-creators both in finding a common expression and in taking care of the safety of all participants.

He was a member of the Fourklour physical theater since its foundation in 1998 and longtime collaborator of choreographer Branko Potočan.
As a dancer, choreographer and actor, he participated in a wide variety of theater and dance performances both in professional theaters and in a wide variety of ad hoc projects and groups and in many films.
His mentoring work with young people began in the mid-90s and ranges from workshops and seminars. He is also one of the initiators of the youth theatre group, which operates within the framework of DIC, Ljubljana.

INSPIRATION AND STRATEGIES IN PERFORMING ARTS (Directing workshop
Mentor: Maša Pelko (Slovenia)
At the workshop, we will address the question of inspiration in the creative theater process and question the strategies and construction procedures of the various stage entities that make up the performance: scene, scene, act, performance. We will start from what inspires, excites each of the participants, and we will gradually spread this with the help of the other participants: with their stories; by someone telling a story that is not their own in their own words; by combining and juxtaposing different, seemingly unrelated moments of the stage; by looking for known connections in an illogical structure. At the same time, we will use different directorial strategies of storytelling or narrative, from completely associative composition to inventive author's theater, from classic dramatic setting to perhaps even looking at the issue of documentary presentation of material on stage. In addition to directing, we will be constantly working in various fields of theater: acting, dramaturgy, scenography, costume design, music, stage movement, lighting, etc. The key is that everyone will develop their own area of interest within the workshop, and above all, the work will come from something that excites them and they will look for reasons why this is so.
In the workshop, we will start from the individual construction of theatrical moments, which we will slowly expand to slightly larger groups and all the time observe and talk about the procedures together, in the form of feedback, because live, real-time changing of the material is the key to working in the theater. We will end the workshop with a short showing of assembled scenes.

CAMERA SEES EVERYTHING (A Screen Acting Workshop)
Mentor: Živa Selan (Slovenia)
In the workshop we will explore how to unlock hidden emotional spaces, so our face can speak without too much effort. We will work on how to create emotions, states, relationships, dialogues with surgical precision. We will discover the specifics of each participant to become an autonomous and independent co-creator of a film role. We will be learning rules of the craft and how we can use them to our advantage. So the most unique parts of our personalities can come into play. The mission is to reject clichés and become actors, true to ourselves. We will learn to distinguish between staying, sipping, posing, copying and actually living in front of the camera. Allowing the camera to see a living, present human being beating, breathing and glowing in every scene.
